The upper Dolpa is considered strenuous. There are steep ascents, and three passes above 5000m. Upper Dolpo trekking is one of the complete circuit trekking which consists of Upper Dolpo, Lower Dolpo, and parts of Mustang and ends in Jomsom. The high plateau of Charka Bhot, Sangda Pass (5300m) Tilicho, Nilgiri Himal (7061m), and many others.
Dolpo trekking that culturally and naturally resembles the Mustang region, located on the direct route between Nepal and Tebet, where we cross the caravans of yaks carrying salt and wool from Tibet. It makes any visitors feel the mountain region's lifestyle. It offers a highly adventurous journey where you get to feel the rhythm of Buddhist prayer spots and watch Blue Sheep, Snow-leopard, Rabbits, and Marmots in the Shey Phoksundo National Park where are Shey Phoksundo Lake. The upper Dolpa trek camping adds to the physical challenge and discomfort of trekking in upper Dolpa, and rest days are recommended. It is advised to take as many food provisions as possible upper Dolpa trek (anywhere in Western Nepal). It is still important to be mindful of the fact that restocking provisions can be challenging for guides and porters in this region, and that resources are scared. This trek is quite challenging and adventurous for any individual or crew on vacation in Nepal.
